Similar transformations are evident across rural China. Ding Zehui, 22, returned to his hometown after university to farm with a high-tech edge. He joined a cooperative offering agricultural machinery services and persuaded his family to invest in an unmanned seeder equipped with the Beidou navigation system. This system allows machines to operate around the clock with remarkable precision, significantly boosting efficiency. Ding also notes that modern agricultural machinery now features air-conditioned cabins and user-friendly controls, making the working environment more comfortable and appealing.
The comprehensive mechanization rate in China has exceeded 75 percent for crop cultivation, planting, and harvesting. Over two million agricultural machines nationwide are integrated with Beidou navigation technology, pushing efficiency and precision to internationally advanced levels. Government plans are in place to build China’s agricultural strength further by 2027, supporting this rapid technological advancement.
