Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino has announced the return of his online revision classes for students preparing for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
Taking to his official X account on Saturday, October 25, 2025, Babu revealed that he will hold a Mathematics revision session live on his Facebook page at 7:30 PM.
“MATHEMATICS KCSE REVISION. Stay tuned today at 7:30 PM on my Facebook page. Babu Owino,” he wrote.
The legislator first introduced the free online lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when schools were closed and learners had limited access to academic resources. His initiative gained wide recognition for providing educational support to candidates across Kenya, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
Babu Owino, despite not being a trained teacher, has consistently expressed his passion for education and his desire to motivate learners. In a past statement, he said,
“The main aim of why I am doing this is to motivate our candidates to pass their examinations. If I came from the Nyalenda slums selling chang’aa, then you as a candidate can also make it.”
The MP’s sessions, which cover key KCSE subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, are streamed live and remain accessible online for students to review at their convenience.
His announcement coincides with the official commencement of the KCSE 2025 oral and practical examinations, which began on October 21 and will run until October 27, according to the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
KNEC confirmed that this phase covers subjects such as French, German, Arabic oral, Music practical, and Kenyan Sign Language. The council urged all candidates and exam administrators to strictly adhere to the timetable and maintain examination integrity.
As thousands of candidates begin their final preparations, Babu Owino’s online revision initiative once again stands as a timely boost for learners across the country.
