National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi is celebrating a proud family milestone. His daughter, Ann Natalie Mbadi, has graduated with a Master of Law in Labour and Employment Law.
The graduation ceremony took place at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Mbadi attended the event with his wife, Roda. They joined other families to witness their children receive degrees.
Mbadi described the moment as deeply emotional. Watching his daughter walk down the aisle and receive her accolade brought him silent tears of parental love.
“Alongside my spouse Roda, we had the honour of witnessing the conferment of our daughter Ann Natalie Mbadi, who graduated with Masters of Law in Labour and Employment Law at Monash University in Melbourne City, Australia. Seeing her march down the aisle, up the rostrum together with fellow graduands wasn’t just fulfilling, the moment invoked silent tears of parental love. Congratulations Natalie, we are proud of you daughter,” Mbadi wrote on X.
This achievement marks a major step in Natalie’s academic and professional journey. It also adds to CS Mbadi’s list of proud family moments.
Interestingly, this is the first time the Cabinet Secretary has publicly shared details about his family. Previously, the public only knew his spouse’s name and that he is a father of two.
Mbadi, who was a nominated MP, joined President William Ruto’s Executive after the dismissal of the first Cabinet. That followed nationwide, Gen Z-led anti-government protests.
Natalie’s graduation highlights her dedication and hard work. It also offers a rare glimpse into the personal life of one of Kenya’s senior government officials, celebrating a milestone that goes beyond public service.
