Top Kenyan companies and institutions were honoured for their excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction during the Kenya Quality Awards (KQA) 2025 gala dinner held in Nairobi on Friday night.
The annual awards, organised by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), recognise organisations that uphold exceptional quality in production, service delivery, and exports. This year’s theme was “Quality: Think Differently.”
Kabarak University, Capwell Industries Limited, and Embu University emerged as the Overall Winners under the Company of the Year (Large Enterprises) category, cementing their reputation as leaders in quality and innovation.
In the Product of the Year category, Capwell Industries, Kenchic PLC, and Haleon Kenya Limited took top honours among large enterprises, while Health Classique Limited, Blesteire Beauty Investment, and Amaridina Enterprises excelled in the MSME division for demonstrating product excellence and customer trust.
Kabarak University also triumphed in the Service of the Year – Private Large Enterprises category, alongside CPF Financial Services, for their commitment to service excellence and innovation. In the public sector, the Capital Markets Authority, KenGen, and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) were recognised for exceptional service delivery and stakeholder engagement.
KEBS Managing Director Esther Ngari applauded the winners for redefining quality in today’s competitive environment.
“These organisations are role models that have placed customers at the heart of their processes and embraced innovation,” she said.
KEBS Board Chair Chris Wamalwa emphasised that quality remains the cornerstone of Kenya’s industrial future, while Trade PS Juma Mukhwana, representing Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui, reiterated the government’s support for fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
The winners will represent Kenya at the upcoming East African Quality Awards (EAQA), scheduled to take place in Nairobi next month alongside the SMEs Trade Fair.
The Kenya Quality Awards continue to serve as a benchmark for excellence, inspiring both businesses and institutions to uphold quality as the foundation of Kenya’s sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
