The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially reopened applications for diploma and certificate programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). In a notice dated August 15, KUCCPS announced that the application window will run from August 15 to 28, 2025, giving aspiring medical professionals a limited opportunity to secure admission for the September intake.
“KUCCPS has reopened applications for Diploma and Certificate programmes at KMTC. Don’t miss out! Apply now to secure your chance for the September 2025 intake,” the placement body urged students.
Applicants are required to log in to the KUCCPS portal using their KCSE index number, year of examination, and password to complete the process. Once logged in, students can choose from a wide range of courses tailored to Kenya’s evolving healthcare needs.
More than 200 programmes are available, including highly sought-after diploma courses such as Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Records and Information Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Medical Engineering. For those looking to pursue certificate-level training, available courses include Public Health, Medical Emergency Technician, Community Health Assistant, and Insurance Management.
KMTC, a 9001:2015 certified institution, has built a strong reputation for producing competent healthcare workers who continue to play a crucial role in the country’s health sector. With campuses spread across Kenya, the college offers flexible and diverse training opportunities to meet the increasing demand for skilled medical professionals.
Education stakeholders have welcomed the move, noting that reopening applications expands access for students who may have missed earlier deadlines. The initiative also ensures that more qualified candidates get the chance to pursue careers in health, at a time when Kenya’s healthcare system is experiencing rapid growth and increased demand for trained personnel.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of this window before the August 28 deadline, as securing a spot at KMTC remains highly competitive. By pursuing training through KMTC, learners not only gain professional skills but also position themselves for meaningful careers in healthcare service delivery
