According to her, he had simply returned to Kenya to do the same in Diani, humorously suggesting that the cost of coconut oil there was more affordable than baby oil abroad.
She didn’t stop there. Ruth went on to poke fun at Kibe’s string of unsuccessful ventures. From his past as a born-again Christian to his stint as a radio host, his attempt to launch an app, and even his failed political ambitions, she left no stone unturned. “Kibe is a household name, but he cannot keep a household,” she quipped, referencing his divorce and alleged broken relationships.
Another brutal punchline came when she ridiculed his past aspiration to become Lang’ata MP, calling him a “failed politician, failed radio host, failed husband” and joking that “the last time he was successful, he was a sperm.” She added that only “broke boys with no father figures” still looked up to him.
The roast also touched on Kibe’s former faith journey, joking that he used to fast when he was saved, but now the only thing fasting was his receding hairline. Each line drew bigger laughs from the crowd, while Kibe, clutching his beer glass, could be seen reacting with a mix of resignation and disbelief.
This roast comes on the heels of a similar event involving YouTuber Kabi wa Jesus, who was mocked for impregnating his cousin. During that roast, comedians took aim at his understanding of family planning, with one joking that he misunderstood the government’s campaign. His wife, Milly, who was in attendance, appeared visibly uncomfortable, prompting some fans online to express concern over the boundaries being crossed.
Despite the laughter and entertainment value of these roasts, reactions have been mixed. While some fans enjoyed seeing public figures being held accountable in a humorous way, others felt that some jokes went too far, especially when family members were dragged into the spotlight.
