Singer Nadia Mukami has spoken out about her partner Arrow Bwoy’s condition following a recent protest incident in which he was reportedly struck by a police officer. The musician had joined fellow Kenyans in the June 25 protests when he experienced a run-in with law enforcement, leaving fans concerned about his well-being after he shared a video appearing to show a police officer hitting him.
Shortly after the incident, Arrow Bwoy indicated he was heading to hospital for treatment, prompting a flurry of concern and sympathy online. The video he posted sparked outrage, with many Kenyans condemning the excessive force often used by the police against peaceful demonstrators.
However, in a recent phone interview, Nadia reassured fans that her partner is doing just fine. She described the incident as “something small” and downplayed the extent of his injuries, saying he tends to exaggerate situations. Despite her calm tone, she admitted to being angry and protective when she first saw how her man had been handled during the protests.
“I was definitely upset,” she said. “I was defending my family. That’s the father of my children. I don’t like how those officers behaved, like they were trying to prove a point. But honestly, he wasn’t badly hurt — he just made it look worse than it was.”
Nadia emphasized the importance of speaking out, especially during such charged times in the country. She noted that the protests were legitimate and rooted in real frustrations but had unfortunately been infiltrated by troublemakers, which distorted the message and purpose of the demonstrations.
While addressing Arrow Bwoy’s situation, Nadia also opened up about her current pregnancy. Now expecting her second child, the 28-year-old singer shared that she feels content and confident about her life choices. She mentioned that although she and Arrow had originally planned to hold a wedding, those plans were halted after they discovered she was pregnant again.
According to her, while her father initially supported the idea of proceeding with the wedding despite the pregnancy, he later advised them to delay it to avoid bad luck. Since they had already completed traditional rites required by Arrow’s culture, the couple would have to repeat everything if they were to start afresh — a factor that contributed to the postponement.
Nadia also made headlines recently after revealing her desire to undergo tubal ligation, a decision that sparked heated debate online. She explained that she’s ready to move on from childbearing and focus on herself in her 30s. “I want to slay in my 30s,” she said confidently. She jokingly warned her partner not to do anything that might jeopardize their relationship, stating that she wouldn’t hesitate to walk away if necessary.
Despite the challenges, Nadia appears to be in a good place — focused on her family, firm in her beliefs, and vocal about issues affecting both her personal life and the wider community. Her update brought relief to many of Arrow Bwoy’s fans and reinforced her reputation as someone who speaks her truth unapologetically.
