In a candid and humorous sit-down with Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi, beloved Kenyan content creator Auntie Jemimah opened up about her life, her quirks, and most notably her male best friend, Kinyanjui. Known for her unfiltered honesty and relatable content, Auntie Jemimah’s revelations sparked both admiration and curiosity from her fans.
When asked who her closest friend was, she didn’t hesitate: “My best friend is called Kinyanjui.” She confirmed that not only is he the person she talks to the most, but he’s also a man something she fully embraces. According to Jemimah, having a male best friend offers a unique and valuable perspective on life.
“I think it’s fine. It’s also very good having a male bestie because their way of viewing life is very logical. Women are very emotional. So men will always give you that logical view of life,” she said, highlighting the balance and clarity such friendships can bring.

The interview also gave fans a glimpse into Auntie Jemimah’s day-to-day musings and digital life. Her last Google search? Glutathione a skincare ingredient linked to skin whitening. She explained that she had received a product containing it and wanted to research its effects. “I read it somewhere in a product that I’ve been given, so I wanted to confirm from Google whether it does bleach,” she explained.
Adding a touch of humor, she confessed to the most embarrassing thing in her search history: looking up lyrics to a Kikuyu song she’s sung for years but never fully understood. “There’s a part I don’t know… so I found myself searching for it,” she laughed, citing the lyric “Samino Kanyamendi” as still a mystery to her.
True to her artistic spirit, she admitted to telling the occasional white lie usually about time or scheduling to manage the chaos of her busy life. “I’m an artist. I have to lie,” she quipped with a cheeky smile.
Jemimah’s openness in the interview offered not just laughs, but a refreshing reminder that being real quirks and all is what makes her fans love her even more.
