Kenyan TikToker and photographer Faustine Lipuku Lukale, popularly known as Baba Talisha, has opened up about the heart-wrenching experience of losing his wife and the painful accusations he faced in the aftermath. Speaking to Betty Kyallo on TV47 Kenya, Baba Talisha recounted the tragic events of September 11, 2020, when a road accident claimed the life of his wife and left their two-year-old daughter with severe injuries.
The accident left his daughter, Talisha, with a fractured skull and brain swelling, requiring a 20-day hospital stay. What followed was not only a period of immense grief but also public scrutiny. Shockingly, some people accused Baba Talisha of sacrificing his wife for fame or fortune allegations that deeply wounded him.
“A lot of things were said… things were told, and they broke me,” he said during the emotional interview. “Until it happens to someone else, they will never truly understand.” He shared how the tragedy left him emotionally shattered, unable to leave his house for days. His parents had to reach out and encourage him to start healing.

Baba Talisha also reflected on the societal expectations placed on men, particularly around expressing grief. “Men don’t usually talk, and when they do, it’s like you’re seeking sympathy,” he said, pointing to a broader issue of emotional repression among men.
Despite the overwhelming loss and public backlash, he found strength in his faith, family, and strangers who supported him. Prayers and belief in God became his anchor through the darkest times. His resilience turned his pain into purpose he now uses his social media platforms, especially YouTube, to inspire others and advocate for children with special needs.
Baba Talisha’s story is not just one of loss, but of courage, healing, and transformation. In the face of devastating accusations and unimaginable grief, he chose to rise above the pain and become a voice for those enduring similar struggles, showing that healing is possible even in the most trying circumstances.
