Award-winning gospel powerhouse CeCe Winans is set to grace Nairobi with a highly anticipated live performance this weekend. The 15-time Grammy Award winner will take the stage at Uhuru Gardens on Friday, August 30, as part of her More Than This tour.
The Nairobi show comes hot on the heels of her Uganda stop and is part of a broader African tour that will also see her perform in Johannesburg, Harare, and Cape Town. The tour supports her latest album, More Than This, released earlier this year to wide acclaim.
Speaking ahead of the concert, Winans expressed her gratitude to fans worldwide for the overwhelming reception her music has received. “I’m deeply humbled by the outpouring of love and support. This journey has been beyond amazing, and I’m so grateful to keep sharing God’s message through music. The More Than This tour is going to be truly special, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for all of us,” she said.
Tickets for the Nairobi concert are currently available on the Madfun platform, which earlier this year successfully brought Nigerian superstar Burna Boy to the city. Prices start from KSh. 2,000, with premium options including a KSh. 10,000 meet-and-greet package.
The event promises to be a night of worship and celebration, with Winans expected to perform some of her most beloved tracks, including That’s My King, which topped the Billboard Gospel chart, and the global anthem Goodness of God. According to Spotify, CeCe Winans remains a firm favorite among Kenyan listeners, with her music appearing in more than 300,000 user-generated playlists locally. In the last three months alone, Goodness of God (Live) has amassed over 200,000 streams in Kenya and has featured in more than 20,000 playlists.
Other fan-favorite hits such as Holy Forever, Worthy of It All (Live), and Come Jesus Come continue to resonate deeply within Kenya’s vibrant gospel community. Her albums Believe For It and More Than This also enjoy impressive streaming numbers, with the former leading at over 500,000 streams in Kenya.
For Kenyan gospel fans, Winans’ Nairobi performance promises to be an unforgettable evening of praise, worship, and inspiration.
