Popular Kenyan YouTuber and comedian 2mbili is grateful to be alive after surviving a serious road accident in Kitengela that left his vehicle badly wrecked. The entertainer shared a video of the aftermath on social media, showing the car’s mangled front and deployed airbags, with a tow truck on-site to remove the vehicle from the road.
The incident reportedly occurred around midnight after a long day of travel. Speaking after the crash, 2mbili admitted that fatigue was to blame for the collision. “Thanks to the hospital for the quick response at the accident scene in Kitengela last night at 12 midnight when fatigue took over me and I slept on the steering wheel and rammed into a lorry. How I am alive now is God’s favour! Thanks to all your ‘poles’ and calls. For now, let us not blame the car, blame the driver,” he shared on Instagram.
Fans Flood Social Media With Messages of Relief
The revelation drew an immediate reaction online, with fans and fellow celebrities expressing relief and concern. Many urged the comedian to rest more and prioritize his health. “Pole maze uwee,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Bro, God has given you a second chance — go to church and thank Him.” Some even offered lighthearted advice, suggesting he hire a driver or take regular breaks on long journeys.
Recurring Accidents Spark Concern
This is not the first time 2mbili has been involved in a road accident, a fact that has alarmed some of his followers. His close friend, Oga Obinna, previously suggested that the comedian consider spiritual intervention, saying his frequent brushes with danger were concerning. The remarks stirred debate online, with some defending Obinna’s intentions and others calling for privacy.
Despite their public differences, 2mbili has maintained mutual respect for Obinna. “Obinna has called me many names, but I’ve never come out to hit back because of the respect I have for him,” he said in an earlier interview. He added that his girlfriend, Jackie Ogaga, works for Obinna, and he prefers not to cause tension between them.
“Life Is More Precious Than Any Gig”
As he recovers, fans have continued to send well-wishes, emphasizing the importance of safety and rest. Many have reminded him that his life and health come first. “Slow down, bro,” one fan wrote. “The stage will wait — your life won’t.”
2mbili’s experience serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving while tired, with road safety experts often warning that fatigue can be just as deadly as drunk driving. For now, his fans — and Kenya’s comedy community — are simply thankful that the beloved entertainer walked away from the wreck alive.
