Radio presenter Kwambox bid an emotional farewell during her final show on Kiss 100, marking the end of her journey with the station after nearly two years. Her departure, while heartfelt, was also a moment of reflection and gratitude, both from her and her loyal audience.
As she signed off the morning show for the last time, Kwambox expressed her deep appreciation to listeners who had supported her throughout her time on air. Holding back tears, she thanked everyone who had tuned in and become part of the lively conversations and good vibes that defined the show. “And just like that, we have come to the end of the show, and it has been a great one,” she said. “Thank you so much to everybody who’s been a part of our journey, listened to us, enjoyed the vibes, and continued to engage. We appreciate you.”
Her co-host, Kerry Martin, also became emotional as he shared a heartfelt tribute to Kwambox. He reminisced about their journey in the radio industry, reflecting on the growth and partnership they had shared over the years. Kerry recalled how their careers had intertwined from the early days, beginning in 2015, and how Kwambox had played a key role in his personal and professional development.
“I want to give you your flowers,” he said, fighting back tears. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be a better man. I wouldn’t be a better presenter. I wouldn’t be speaking with confidence. I wouldn’t even be where I am right now. You’ve been part of my journey, and I really, really do appreciate you.”
He went on to describe how strange it would feel waking up without sharing the studio with her, emphasizing how much their working relationship had come to mean to him. He also hinted at future collaborations, suggesting that even though their time on air together had come to an end, their creative synergy would continue in other forms. “We’re still going to be doing ‘tube-ish.’ I can’t wait to be casting on a microphone again,” he said. “It’s been 13 years, and I’m just so emotional.”
Though Kwambox’s next steps remain unconfirmed, her passion for broadcasting was clear as she reflected on how much she loved being on the mic. Her sign-off was not just a goodbye to the station but a tribute to her craft and the listeners who made it all worthwhile.
