Kenyan comedian Mulamwah has once again addressed the controversy surrounding his ugly fallout with ex-partner Ruth K, after a fan confronted him over why he exposed her private photos online earlier this year.
The Messy Fallout
The drama between the pair began in June, when their disagreements spilled onto social media. It started after Mulamwah reshared photos Ruth had taken with their son, prompting Ruth to accuse him of being a deadbeat father. She claimed he once sent her KSh 5,000 only to later reverse the transaction.
Mulamwah fired back, accusing Ruth of trying to tarnish his image. He alleged that she even created a WhatsApp group with over 80 women, urging them to get tested after falsely suggesting he was HIV positive.
The feud escalated when Ruth leaked Mulamwah’s private photos. In retaliation, Mulamwah used their son’s Instagram account to post her private pictures — a move that attracted massive backlash, with fans branding him petty and vindictive.
Mulamwah Responds to Fan’s Question
During a recent Q&A with fans, one follower directly challenged him: “Why did you expose your ex’s private photos online?”
Mulamwah defended his actions, insisting it was tit-for-tat: “Why did she post mine, or is this story one-sided? We only pressed pressed buttons.”
When the fan suggested Ruth wasn’t managing her account when his photos were leaked, Mulamwah pushed back: “That’s why I always say it’s important to know what really happened before judging. So, all those things she typed during the day when posting, that was her. Then by evening suddenly it’s not her? How is that ‘not managing,’ yet she’s the one using the account? I’m a bigger artist in terms of influence; when I respond to something, people take it as the answer.”
Did Mulamwah Apologise to Carol Sonnie?
In a separate turn of events, Mulamwah recently extended a public apology to another of his ex-partners, Carol Sonnie. He admitted that his involvement with Ruth contributed to the end of his relationship with Carol and asked for her forgiveness. He also encouraged fans to support all of his baby mamas.
Carol, however, has chosen not to respond — a move many fans praised as a sign of restraint and maturity amid the ongoing drama.
