Comedian Mulamwah has once again found himself at the center of controversy following explosive claims surrounding the fallout between his ex-partner Ruth K and her father. The former couple, who have been exchanging bitter accusations online, are now entangled in a new twist that involves family drama and private allegations.
Mulamwah recently took to social media to share his side of the story, distancing himself from claims that he is the reason behind Ruth K’s strained relationship with her father. According to the comedian, the tension between Ruth and her dad is due to her own actions—not his.
He recalled a critical moment leading up to his comedy special Let Me Explain, when he traveled to Eldoret to meet both his and Ruth’s families in an attempt to mend their relationship. The meeting reportedly lasted more than five hours, and after that, he and Ruth had a personal discussion in his car for nearly two more hours. Mulamwah said he left that meeting optimistic, believing they had resolved their issues and that Ruth would return to their shared home and support his show.
However, he was left disappointed when Ruth didn’t come back and skipped his event entirely. He believes this decision caused her father to cut communication with her. In an emotional moment, Mulamwah questioned why someone would disregard an agreement made after such a long and heartfelt discussion. “From that day, her father has never spoken to her again. You can’t just ignore everything agreed upon and do whatever you want,” he said.
On the other hand, Ruth previously alleged that Mulamwah had shared private videos of her with her father, which she claims triggered the silence from him. She posted a message pleading for forgiveness from her dad, saying she was sorry for letting the family down and promising never to associate with Mulamwah again.
But Mulamwah strongly denied those allegations. In a YouTube video, he explained that he never sent anything inappropriate to Ruth’s father. Instead, he claimed that he had changed a contact name on his phone to resemble Ruth’s father’s name, sent a simple Bible verse to the number, and then shared the screenshot online to stir reaction. He clarified that the viral message was part of a strategy and not a genuine communication with Ruth’s dad.
He further urged the public to be cautious about what they consume on social media, warning that much of what trends is not always rooted in truth. “Don’t believe everything you see online,” he stated, emphasizing that people often manipulate content to push certain narratives.
Mulamwah also revealed that his relationship with Ruth had ended long before they made it public. For a while, they continued sharing content together simply to maintain an illusion of being a couple. He explained that they were no longer living under the same roof and that their online portrayal was merely a façade.
