Popular YouTube music collective PHXP, also known as “Pent House XP,” brought Nairobi’s nightlife to life with a vibrant live recording session at Cavalli@The Manor in Westlands. The event, held at the trendy club venue, showcased electrifying sets from four of the city’s top DJs Redbone, Incredible, Swaj, and Sonnia and drew a lively crowd of music enthusiasts and nightlife lovers.
The session was themed around the colour purple and was sponsored by Gordon’s gin, whose presence added a stylish flair to the evening. PHXP’s distinctive approach of merging live DJ performances with professional content creation set the tone for the night, offering both an engaging party experience for attendees and high-quality recordings for online audiences.
PHXP has built a loyal following through its dynamic mix of riddims, dancehall, afrobeats, R&B, and freestyle DJ sets. Spearheaded by DJ Redbone, the platform is known for its immersive sessions that bridge live entertainment with digital media, allowing fans to relive the vibe long after the night ends.
“This isn’t just about throwing a party,” said DJ Redbone. “It’s about capturing the culture and the energy of Nairobi’s music scene and taking it global.”
The collaboration with Gordon’s gin highlighted the growing intersection between brands and nightlife entertainment in Kenya. Elizabeth Otieno, Brand Manager at Gordon’s, explained the brand’s involvement as part of a broader strategy to tap into cultural moments.
“We’re committed to creating moments that celebrate the zest of life and that’s really about culture, connection, and flavour,” Otieno noted.
The success of PHXP’s session at Cavalli@The Manor reflects a larger shift in Nairobi’s nightlife, where DJs and creatives are redefining the club scene. With live recording sessions, content creation, and immersive themes, such events are becoming more than just parties they’re multi-platform experiences that fuel the city’s cultural heartbeat.
As PHXP continues to evolve, it is setting the stage for a new era in entertainment where local talent, brand partnerships, and digital engagement converge.
