Ruth K has opened up about one of the most painful experiences of her life, emotionally detailing how her relationship with her father was shattered after private photos and videos she once shared with her ex, Mulamwah, were leaked. In a heartbreaking revelation, she said the exposure of the intimate content brought deep shame, regret, and lasting emotional damage.
The mother of one, visibly distraught in a video posted to her channel, expressed deep sorrow over her decision to trust Mulamwah with sensitive content during their four-year relationship. According to her, the content was eventually sent to various members of her family, including her father, which led to a total breakdown in their communication. She said she tried to reach out immediately after learning her dad had received the material, but he never responded, leaving her “blue-ticked” and heartbroken.
What hurt Ruth most, she revealed, was not just the betrayal but the fact that the content appeared on a social media account associated with their child, which Mulamwah reportedly controlled. She also said that he had access to her old Facebook account, where more content was allegedly shared.
Fighting back tears, Ruth described how her mother was devastated by the incident and flew into Nairobi to comfort her. She recalled how her mum even slept at the airport to catch the earliest flight, underscoring the seriousness of the family’s distress.
The impact was widespread—Ruth said that her siblings and even her sister-in-law received the explicit content, further compounding her shame and regret. Despite the humiliation and emotional trauma, Ruth was thankful that her family, aside from her father, chose to support her during the ordeal.
She also accused Mulamwah of using the content to manipulate and threaten her, creating an environment of fear and emotional blackmail. “When people are in love, a lot happens. I hope others can learn from my experience,” she said.
Looking back, Ruth deeply regretted ever sharing such personal content, stating that it was a decision she would undo if she could. However, she emphasized that life must move on, and she’s committed to staying strong for the sake of her young son.
She expressed gratitude to the friends, fans, and brands that stood by her during the storm, saying their messages and support gave her hope. “I’ve received love from all dimensions,” she said. “It’s getting better every day.”
Ruth concluded by praying that her father finds peace and forgives her, expressing sadness that they have not spoken since the incident.
