In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Swift shared the news with a playful caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The announcement was accompanied by photos of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposing, followed by the couple embracing and showcasing Swift’s dazzling diamond engagement ring. The post quickly went viral, racking up more than 18 million likes within hours.
Celebrities and public figures rushed to congratulate the pair. Singer Avril Lavigne and supermodel Cara Delevingne shared messages of love on Instagram, while the Kansas City Chiefs posted on X, declaring: “Today is a fairy tale. The engagement ring, understood to be an old mine brilliant cut, was designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewellery. Swift also added a personal touch on her Instagram story, posting a heart alongside her song So High School—widely believed to be inspired by Kelce.
