Latifah Twahir, popularly known by her stage name Toti from the TV series Junior, has come forward to strongly deny allegations linking her to a viral explicit video. The actress, who rose to fame for portraying a young, innocent girl on the popular show, took to TikTok Live to address the matter directly alongside her former co-star Easron Asmlash, famously known as Junior.
During the live session, one viewer brought up the controversial clip, prompting a visibly frustrated response from Toti. She lashed out momentarily, questioning the credibility of those spreading the rumours before calmly stating her side of the story.
“I want to make this very clear once and for all,” she said. “People are accusing me of being in that dirty video. Let’s use some common sense—I was still acting in Junior at the time, just a young and innocent girl.”
Toti pointed out a clear distinction between herself and the woman in the video, stating she has no tattoos, while the woman in the clip reportedly had one. Her clarification sparked mixed reactions online, with some viewers supporting her claims while others remained sceptical.
One fan insisted that the version of the video they saw did not show any tattoos, casting doubt on the explanation. Others demanded she prove her claim by showing her skin, while a few online users defended her, stating the woman in the video might have been someone else entirely, possibly even from another country.
The live session also featured a reunion with Easron Asmlash, who is now based in the United States. Easron opened up about his personal life, revealing that he had taken a break from the limelight and was now pursuing a career in Gengetone music and rap. He also mentioned that his parents had sent him to the US after becoming concerned about the negative influences he was exposed to locally. His mother, he shared, was especially unhappy with his musical direction.
While Easron focused on his music journey, the focus remained on Toti’s denial and the broader issue of online defamation. Toti’s situation reflects the challenges many young public figures face—navigating fame while fending off misinformation and malicious rumors.
In a separate yet similarly controversial issue, comedian Mulamwah and his ex-girlfriend Ruth K have been entangled in a bitter public fallout. Mulamwah allegedly shared a private video of Ruth without her consent. Ruth responded with a composed but emotional statement, admitting to previously sending such content to him during their relationship. Despite the betrayal, she refused to retaliate, citing the future of their child as her main priority.
Ruth disclosed that the leaked clip was distributed through their son’s social media account, which Mulamwah controls. She expressed deep pain and humiliation, especially after learning the video had reached her father. The breach of trust, she said, severely damaged her relationship with her family.
Both incidents highlight the growing concern over digital privacy, consent, and the exploitation of personal content, particularly among young Kenyan celebrities. As public scrutiny intensifies, these cases continue to spark conversations around accountability, reputation, and emotional well-being in the digital age.
