Triza Njeri, the first wife of popular figure Karangu Muraya, has finally responded to ongoing rumours suggesting she is pregnant with her fourth child. Her recent hospitalisation sparked concern among her followers, and social media was quickly flooded with speculation linking her health scare to alleged pregnancy complications.
Triza’s sudden admission to hospital raised eyebrows, especially since she had recently re-emerged into the public eye after a turbulent period in her personal life. Earlier in the year, she had publicly accused her husband of neglect and claimed he denied her conjugal rights. The revelation sent shockwaves through their fanbase, especially after she declared she was leaving him. However, following months of separation, the couple appeared to reconcile during her music album launch, suggesting they had made efforts to repair their relationship.
Following her hospitalisation, Triza shared a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed, prompting fans to send messages of concern. In a brief caption, she acknowledged that she was indeed in the hospital, but reassured her followers that her social media page was still active thanks to an admin. She added a note of appreciation to her fans for their love and concern.
However, the pregnancy rumour mill continued to churn. A particularly curious fan took to the comment section of one of her TikTok videos to ask a pointed question: if Triza had been living with her friend Tata Wa Essy during the separation, how could she have conceived a child? The fan hinted that this would suggest Triza and Karangu had been meeting privately during their time apart.
Triza did not take kindly to the question. In a sharp response, she told the fan that it was none of their business, shutting down the inquiry without offering further explanation or confirmation.
Despite the ambiguous response, many fans and social media users weighed in with their own theories. One commenter stated that Triza was being treated for gallstones, not a pregnancy-related issue, while others offered well wishes and prayers for her quick recovery. Some defended her fiercely, arguing that even if she were pregnant, it would be nobody’s concern but hers and her husband’s.
The rumour, however, has fueled renewed public interest in her relationship with Karangu. After a season of public fallout, the two appeared to reunite at Triza’s album launch. An audio clip later emerged in which Triza defended Karangu against those trying to prevent him and their children from attending the event. The recording stirred controversy, especially with businesswoman Wanja Nyarari Rose, who had openly opposed Triza’s decision to reunite with her husband.
The situation escalated when politician Karen Nyamu was pulled into the fray. She reportedly advised Wanja to settle her differences with Triza amicably, sparking further debate online. Wanja, in turn, claimed that Nyamu had ulterior motives for attending the event, including a desire to see her ex-partner Samidoh Muchoki.
While the speculation continues to swirl, Triza remains tight-lipped about whether or not she is expecting another child. For now, she appears focused on her recovery, choosing to rise above the noise and prioritise her health and peace of mind.
