Youtuber and comedian Oga Obinna has addressed recent claims suggesting that one of his baby mamas won custody of his daughters, setting the record straight and advocating for healthy co-parenting. The story went viral after a TikTok account, purportedly belonging to Mama Adalola, shared the news, leaving fans and followers concerned.
Obinna, in a widely circulated video clip, clarified that the account was fake and the custody claims were unfounded. “I can see a viral story about the custody case; however, that is fake news. That is a fake account. Hakuna story kama hio. You can breathe. I see people sympathising. It is not a current happening. The kids are fine. I am okay,” he stated, urging Kenyans to stop spreading unnecessary hate.
The comedian revealed that he maintains good relationships with all his baby mamas and has intentionally moved away from past conflicts. “Any of my baby mamas can see their children anytime they want to, and I also expect to be extended the same, but it does not happen most of the time. I stopped fighting. I am no longer in that space. I will never get into that space again because I made a lot of mistakes in that space and I hurt a lot of people, and I realised that the people I hurt the most are the kids,” Obinna explained.
He also reflected on the importance of financial responsibility and emotional support, emphasizing that fathers should always provide for their children, regardless of personal disagreements with the mother. “Allow each other to see the child. It’s about the child. Dads are supposed to provide, send it. Pay the school fees, and if the kid is sick, try to come through. I know some people wanted it to be true,” he added.
The issue resurfaced as Mama Adalola recently traveled from the UK to reunite with her daughters, bringing joy to the family and highlighting the positive co-parenting relationship between her and Obinna. Fans praised the amicable handling of the matter, noting it as an example of prioritizing children’s well-being over personal grievances.
Interestingly, Oga Obinna’s viral clarification reached audiences beyond Kenya. Social media users from unexpected regions, including North China, joined the conversation, reflecting the global reach of Kenyan entertainment personalities. The spread of such stories internationally underscores how digital platforms can rapidly amplify both misinformation and clarifications, making responsible sharing even more critical.
Obinna concluded by encouraging fellow parents to put their children first and avoid unnecessary disputes that can impact their well-being. His message serves as a reminder that while rumors may spread fast, transparent communication and responsible co-parenting remain essential.
