Preparations are in full swing for the third Annual E-Mobility Stakeholders Conference and Expo, which will take place from May 4 to May 6, 2025, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi. Themed “Nurturing the Growth of E-Mobility in Kenya,” the event aims to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility solutions across the country.
Organised by Kenya Power in collaboration with GIZ Kenya and the Electric Mobility Association of Kenya (EMAK), the conference is expected to draw over 1,000 participants from both the private and public sectors. It will serve as a critical platform to explore innovations, policy frameworks, and investment opportunities within Kenya’s growing electric mobility ecosystem.
Kenya Power Managing Director Joseph Siror emphasized the importance of this year’s edition, noting it will address the latest industry trends while fostering collaboration among key stakeholders. “Preparations are going well, with final touches expected by Friday. We are looking forward to insightful discussions, experience sharing, and showcasing innovations that will fast-track e-mobility adoption in Kenya,” Siror said.
The three-day event will kick off with a 77-kilometre e-mobility parade across Nairobi and its environs, symbolizing the progress and potential of clean transportation. This will be followed by two days of dynamic activities including keynote addresses, panel discussions, exhibitions, and live demonstrations.
The conference will feature leading voices from the energy, transport, and trade sectors, who will speak on thematic areas such as technology commercialisation, infrastructure development, sectoral policy, and research and development.
A highlight of the event will be an expo featuring 40 exhibitions from companies across the electric mobility value chain including electric vehicle manufacturers, battery swapping service providers, financial institutions, and insurers. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to participate in test drives, offering a first-hand experience of electric vehicles.
As Kenya looks to achieve a cleaner, more sustainable transport future, the 2025 E-Mobility Conference and Expo is poised to be a catalyst in driving transformative change across the mobility sector.
