President William Ruto has departed for Luanda, Angola, to represent Kenya at the 7th African Union–European Union (AU-EU) Summit. According to a statement by State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed on Monday, the President will actively participate in high-level discussions focused on Africa-EU relations.
During the summit, President Ruto will chair the Summit session of the Ad Hoc Oversight Committee on African Union Institutional Reform. The committee plays a key role in shaping the future structure and efficiency of the African Union, aiming to enhance transparency, accountability, and operational effectiveness across the continent.
Kenya’s participation in the AU-EU Summit underscores the country’s commitment to fostering stronger diplomatic and economic ties between Africa and Europe.
