President William Ruto has lauded his administration’s achievements over the past three years, pointing to the Social Health Authority (SHA), affordable housing, and agricultural transformation as key successes.
Speaking on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, during the launch of the Nairobi International Trade Fair, Ruto emphasized that the SHA has earned remarkable trust among Kenyans.
“Our SHA is working, and that is why 26 million Kenyans have already registered. That is not a small number to joke with. It shows Kenyans believe in our approach and the programme’s effectiveness,” Ruto stated.
The President said transparency and efficiency have been central to the rollout of SHA, ensuring that every citizen benefits. He noted that such visible results reinforce public confidence in government programmes.
Affordable Housing Progress
On housing, Ruto highlighted that his government has delivered 170,000 housing units across the country since 2022. He dismissed critics, insisting that the developments are now tangible and undeniable.
“Housing that has been pending for many years, today we have built 170,000 units across Kenya. They are visible; even the naysayers cannot deny anything anymore,” he said.
Agricultural Transformation
The Head of State also underscored ongoing agricultural reforms, saying they are improving food security and boosting economic growth despite challenges.
“Our agricultural transformation is working, and it is delivering food security and economic growth,” he said, noting that agriculture remains central to his administration’s development agenda.
Call to Leaders
Ruto used the progress to challenge leaders nationwide to embrace responsibility and push Kenya toward first-world status.
“The opportunity to take up our responsibility, work for it as if our life depends on it, and take Kenya to the next level is here,” he remarked.
The President’s remarks highlighted his administration’s citizen-focused agenda, emphasizing tangible achievements in healthcare, housing, and agriculture as pillars of Kenya’s growth path.
