The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced more than 200 job vacancies in a new recruitment drive aimed at enhancing institutional capacity and improving healthcare delivery across the country.
In a public notice released on October 28, 2025, the Authority revealed that it is seeking to hire at least 212 professionals in different capacities as part of its ongoing efforts to build a strong and efficient workforce.
According to the announcement, the SHA Board is looking for visionary, results-driven, and experienced individuals to fill various positions within the organization. The recruitment is part of the Authority’s commitment to strengthening its mandate of ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all Kenyans.
In addition to the new openings, SHA has re-advertised three senior managerial positions — Assistant Director, Claims Management; Assistant Director, Corporate Communication; and Principal Claims Management Officer. The Authority emphasized that these positions are vital to its operational efficiency and communication strategies.

SHA, established under the Social Health Insurance Act of 2023, plays a central role in managing the Social Health Insurance Fund, the Primary Healthcare Fund, and the Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund. The Authority works closely with stakeholders to deliver financial protection and equitable healthcare access to Kenyan residents.
Applicants must also meet the requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. This includes providing valid and current copies of the following documents: Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), and a Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
All qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications either online via the SHA recruitment portal or physically deliver them to the SHA offices. Submissions must be received no later than 5:00 PM on November 18, 2025.
