Kenyans seeking employment in the public sector have fresh opportunities to explore following the announcement of job openings by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Rongo University, and the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).
In a notice published in MyGov, the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed 22 vacancies across three key departments. These include 10 positions for accountants, two for public communication officers, and 10 for clerical officers. Interested applicants are required to collect and submit application forms available at the OAG and DOJ offices by May 16, 2025.
Solicitor General Shadrack Mose emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive hiring, stating, “OAG&DOJ is an equal employer committed to diversity and gender equality within the organisation and therefore encourages persons with disabilities, women, youth, and those from marginalised areas to apply.”
Separately, Rongo University has opened six job vacancies—three administrative and three academic. The institution is looking to recruit two registrars responsible for academic affairs and planning, a farm manager, and three grade 12 lecturers specializing in special needs education. Applications for these positions must be submitted by May 20, 2025. Candidates have been advised to ensure that their referees send reference letters in sealed envelopes to the university’s HR department.
Meanwhile, NACADA is seeking to fill a senior role with the advertisement for a Deputy Director, Finance and Accounts. Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, a detailed CV, certified copies of academic and professional credentials, and a national ID. All applications should clearly indicate the job reference number on both the application and the envelope. Submissions can be sent via email to careers@nacada.go.ke or by hard copy, addressed to the CEO of NACADA, no later than May 27, 2025.
These job openings represent a significant opportunity for qualified professionals seeking to serve in Kenya’s public institutions. Applicants are encouraged to meet deadlines and ensure they fulfill all stated requirements.
