Chief Justice Martha Koome on Friday led senior members of the Judiciary in paying homage to the late opposition leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at his ancestral home in Kang’o ka Jaramogi, Bondo, Siaya County. The visit marked the Judiciary’s show of respect for a man who played a significant role in shaping Kenya’s democratic journey.
During the visit, CJ Koome and her delegation laid wreaths at Raila’s grave and held a brief moment of reflection with the Odinga family. Their presence adds to the growing list of national leaders, dignitaries, and citizens who have visited Bondo to honour Raila’s enduring legacy.
The Judiciary’s gesture underscores the national unity inspired by Raila’s decades-long fight for democracy, justice, and governance reforms values deeply rooted in Kenya’s constitutional order.
