Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has launched a scathing attack on the United Opposition, accusing them of having no tangible vision for Kenya other than promoting anarchy.
Speaking during a public event in Gikuyari, Siakago, Embu County, Ruku condemned what he termed as efforts by opposition leaders to destabilize the country. He claimed their only agenda is to incite chaos and unrest, especially among the youth.
“Those whose job is preaching anarchy in the Republic of Kenya and also in these corners, we want to tell them we have no space for them. We want peace,” Ruku said, firmly denouncing the opposition’s tactics.
Ruku, who formerly served as the Member of Parliament for Mbeere North, commended local youth for resisting calls to join anti-government protests. He praised them for maintaining peace and supporting development efforts spearheaded by the Kenya Kwanza administration.
“Nyinyi mbaki kwa fitina zenu na anarchy because that is the only thing you have in your vision,” he said in reference to the opposition. “We in government, our vision is clear. We want to take our community and country forward.”
He urged residents to remain united behind President William Ruto’s leadership and ignore divisive rhetoric from opposition leaders. Ruku maintained that Mbeere North and the greater Embu region had no place for those inciting youth or attempting to derail progress.
“Don’t be deceived to get out of the government… those who want to incite you, we want to tell them the people of Mbeere North will not go with you to the opposition,” he added.
The CS expressed optimism about President Ruto’s re-election prospects in 2027, declaring, “Come 2027, nobody else will become president except President William Ruto.”
Ruku also highlighted key development projects underway in the region under Kenya Kwanza, noting that the Head of State is expected to tour Embu in August to inspect and commission several initiatives.
He concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to peace and prosperity, saying the administration’s clear vision is aimed at building a Kenya every citizen can be proud of.
