Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale believes President William Ruto will earn a second term through actions, not slogans.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, Duale spoke at State House during the launch of the SHA sponsorship program. He dismissed chants such as “Ruto Must Go” and “Wantam” (One-Term), saying they hold no weight with voters.
Actions, Not Slogans
According to Duale, Kenyans will judge Ruto by his record. He highlighted projects in affordable housing, healthcare, education, and job creation as proof of delivery.
“Huyu rais atachaguliwa na vitendo, sio porojo. Hakuna mtihani unaitwa Ruto Must Go ama Wantam,” Duale said.
He argued that when the time comes, Kenyans will mark Ruto’s “exam” based on results, not political noise.
Kenyans Are Awake
Duale stressed that citizens are more aware and vigilant today. They can see which leaders deliver and which ones only rely on slogans.
“Kenyans are paying attention. They see the projects, the jobs, the houses, the healthcare access. These are the things that matter,” he added.
Politics That Unites
The CS also urged leaders to avoid politics of fear and tribal divisions. He said such tactics no longer work in modern Kenya.
Instead, Duale called for politics that unites. He pointed to State House programs like SHA as examples of initiatives that benefit all communities.
Looking Ahead to 2027
As campaigns slowly build up, the opposition is promoting the “One-Term” narrative. However, the government is showcasing development projects across the country.
Duale’s warning was clear: slogans will not decide the 2027 election. Results and real impact will.
He urged Kenyans to vote with evidence and not hearsay, ensuring that elected leaders genuinely serve the people and the nation.
