Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i on Saturday joined family, friends, and leaders in Busia County to mourn and celebrate the life of Mama Agatha Maina Namwamba, mother of former Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba.
Fondly known as Naineki Nyambura Grade One, Mama Agatha was described as the pillar of the Namwamba family, a woman whose life embodied love, discipline, and etiquette. She was laid to rest in a ceremony that drew mourners from across the country, reflecting the profound impact she had within and beyond her family.
In his tribute, Matiang’i praised Mama Agatha for raising a strong and united family, noting that her values of dignity, grace, and resilience would continue to inspire generations.
