Narok residents witnessed a major political rally as National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah mobilized support for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate for Narok Town Ward ahead of the upcoming by-election.
In a statement shared on the party’s official X account on Saturday, November 15, 2025, UDA confirmed that Ichung’wah, alongside other top party leaders, met with residents to urge support for Robert Kudate, who is vying for the Member of the County Assembly (MCA) seat.
The campaign event, organized by Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo at the Carwash area, drew a notable turnout of party leaders. Present at the rally were UDA National Treasurer and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi, Narok North MP Hon. Agnes Pareyio, and nominated MP Hon. Sabina Chege.
Also in attendance were former Narok County Governor Samuel Kuntai ole Tunai, former Narok South MP Hon. Korei Lemein, and several current MCAs. The gathering underscored the party’s commitment to consolidating grassroots support ahead of the crucial by-election.
“This is a key moment for UDA in Narok Town Ward,” Ichung’wah said, urging residents to back Kudate and ensure the party retains the seat. The rally reflected UDA’s strategy to strengthen its presence across the county by engaging local voters directly.
The push comes as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) prepares for by-elections scheduled for November 27, 2025. The IEBC announced that 16 ward by-elections will take place, following the gazettement and appointment of returning officers on August 8, 2025. Among the wards slated for polls are Angata Nanyokie in Samburu, Chemundu/Kapng’etuny in Nandi, Kariobangi North in Nairobi, Kisa East in Kakamega, and several others across the country.
As campaigning intensifies, political observers will be watching Narok Town closely, where UDA aims to secure a decisive victory in the November by-election.
