Police in Kenya are investigating several incidents involving deaths and robbery across different counties.
In Kitengela, Kajiado County, detectives are probing the death of a woman whose body was found in a thicket along Temple Road on Tuesday, November 18. Officers reported that the woman had visible injuries on the back of her neck and mouth. She had no identification documents at the time of discovery. The cause of death and motive remain unclear, and the body has been moved to a mortuary pending an autopsy.
In a separate incident in Kapkesosio, Bomet County, 31-year-old Festus Korir was found dead in his house with head injuries. Police said Korir had earlier been involved in a physical altercation with his brother while fetching water. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death and will be arraigned as investigations continue. The body has been taken to a mortuary for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, in Sondu, Kericho County, a 50-year-old woman, Caren Tanui, died in a house fire. Her two-roomed house was found burnt after the blaze had been extinguished. Residents reported that she had been unwell and receiving medical treatment. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and her body has been moved to a mortuary pending further investigations.
In Villa, Embakasi, Nairobi, a man died after being attacked by a mob following an alleged robbery attempt. Police warned that mob justice is illegal and urged the public to hand over suspects to authorities rather than taking the law into their own hands.
Elsewhere, in Luanda, Vihiga County, a businesswoman was robbed of Sh132,000 by six men. Police said the attackers blocked her car while she was driving home with her daughter, forced them to lie down, and fled with the cash and two mobile phones. Investigations are ongoing.
Police continue to investigate these cases and appeal to the public to remain vigilant while allowing authorities to handle suspects lawfully.
