Kilifi Governor Gideon Maitha Mung’aro is mourning the death of his father, Gideon Baya Mung’aro Senior, who passed away on Sunday, June 16 a day that coincided with Father’s Day, making the loss especially poignant.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media platforms, Governor Mung’aro announced the sad news with deep sorrow. He reflected on the emotional weight of losing his father on a day meant to celebrate fatherhood, describing it as a deeply painful moment for him and his family.
“Today, on Father’s Day, I have lost my father Gideon Baya Mung’aro Senior,” he wrote. “It is a deeply painful moment, but I am truly grateful for the love, support and prayers from family, friends and all who have reached out. Your kindness is helping us through this difficult time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
