Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a stern warning to political leaders across the country, urging them to refrain from reckless statements that risk undermining national unity and the progress achieved under President William Ruto’s administration. Speaking during a church service in Nandi on November 16, 2025, Kindiki emphasised the need for responsible leadership, noting that inflammatory political talk could derail the country’s stability.
According to the Deputy President, President Ruto has deliberately ensured that every region—regardless of political leaning, religious background, or ethnic identity—benefits from the government’s development agenda. He noted that no part of the nation has been sidelined, making unity a cornerstone of the administration’s governance philosophy.
“The President has ensured a united country. He has made sure every part of the country is wholly included in the government’s development agenda without discriminating against any for their political, religious, or regional affiliations,” Kindiki said.
He urged leaders to be mindful of their public statements as the country moves closer to the next election cycle. Kindiki stressed that political rhetoric should not overshadow the critical work underway to complete major government projects aimed at transforming livelihoods.
“I am requesting all the political leaders to be cautious on how they talk so they don’t harm the progress made in bringing the country together,” he noted.
Kindiki further reiterated the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises. He stated that the government remains focused on nation-building, accountability, and supporting President Ruto’s long-term vision for a united and prosperous Kenya.
“We remain focused on doing the right thing, building our country, accounting for our time in office, and supporting our president, who is the vision carrier of our country’s unity. We must support him to deliver, and everything else will fall in place in the days to come,” he added.
