MP Joseph Kiunjuri has called on central government leaders to stop divisive politics and focus on development-driven leadership.
Speaking during fundraising events in Nyandarua, Kiunjuri was joined by Laikipia West MP Wachira Karani and Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho. He urged residents not to approach politics with anger or frustration.
“Unity and patience are key. The government needs time to deliver on its promises,” Kiunjuri said.
The MP acknowledged citizens’ concerns, especially regarding the SHA’s Mean Testing Model. He admitted the model is currently placing an unfair financial burden on many households.
Kiunjuri called for adjustments to the model to make it more affordable and fair. “We are listening. Reforms are needed to ensure social programs benefit everyone,” he added.
He encouraged residents to trust that the government is working to implement changes that will make life easier for citizens.
Political analysts say Kiunjuri’s message highlights the growing need for fairness in social support programs and the importance of unity in Kenya’s political landscape.
As the events concluded, Kiunjuri urged both leaders and residents to prioritize development over anger and division.
