Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS) Musalia Mudavadi has hailed the Kenyan Police Service as one of the most professional and disciplined security forces in the world.
Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of Dr. Amani Komora, the newly appointed Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), in Oda village, Tana River County, Mudavadi praised the Kenyan police for their consistent excellence in global peacekeeping missions.
He revealed that Kenyan officers have participated in over 50 international peace missions, earning recognition for their professionalism and integrity. “Our security forces are professional, orderly, and respected globally. We must ensure that these standards are upheld at all times,” said Mudavadi.
The PCS singled out the over 800 police officers recently deployed to Haiti, noting their commendable conduct during the 15-month peace mission. “There is not a single recorded case of human rights violations involving our officers in Haiti. This is a testament to their professionalism,” he added.
Mudavadi urged Dr. Komora to uphold and enhance the standards of service within the police force, building on the legacy of his predecessor, Mr. Eliud Kinuthia. “As chairperson, you have no option but to ensure that the standards are maintained or raised even higher,” he emphasized.
The PCS also called on Tana River residents and leaders to promote peace and stability in their county, highlighting its importance in attracting investors and fostering economic growth. “Investors choose to put their money where peace prevails. Projects like Galana Kulalu can only thrive in a peaceful environment,” he said.
Mudavadi concluded by applauding Dr. Komora’s leadership and dedication to national cohesion, describing him as an inspiration to the youth and a symbol of integrity and service.
The event reflected a shared appreciation for the men and women who serve Kenya with honour and distinction.
