Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has called for an immediate and thorough investigation into the death of popular TikTok personality Milly wa Doc, who passed away on Tuesday, June 18. Her sudden demise has shocked many Kenyans, prompting public outcry and demands for justice.
In a heartfelt statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, Passaris expressed deep sorrow over Milly’s passing and extended her condolences to the bereaved family.
“I am deeply disheartened by the tragic passing of Milly wa Doc. My heartfelt condolences go out to her children, family, and the fans who drew strength from her candid and courageous voice,” said Passaris.
Passaris emphasized that the circumstances surrounding Milly’s death raise serious concerns that must not be ignored. She has urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to conduct a transparent and comprehensive probe to establish the cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
“Her untimely death raises serious concerns. I call upon the DCI to conduct a thorough and transparent probe,” she stated.
The Woman Rep further urged that the Chief Government Pathologist, Dr. Johansen Oduor, be urgently involved in the postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
In addition to the official investigation, Passaris called on the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) to look into online allegations involving Milly’s alleged partner, who is said to be a licensed medical professional. These claims have sparked widespread speculation and concern among social media users.
“These allegations speak to possible abuse of office and failure in duty of care—matters that demand immediate attention,” she said.
Passaris underscored the importance of accountability, especially where the safety and dignity of women are concerned. She insisted that no stone should be left unturned in the pursuit of justice for Milly.
“Kenya must stand for truth, justice, and the protection of women,” she concluded.
Milly wa Doc had garnered a large following online for her outspoken personality and candid discussions on health and social issues. Her sudden death leaves a void in the digital community and has reignited conversations on women’s safety and accountability in healthcare.
