Six police stations across Kenya are set to auction vehicles, motorcycles, and assorted household items that have remained unclaimed for months. According to a gazette notice dated October 24, Windsor House Auctioneers and several other firms will oversee the public auctions within 30 to 60 days.
At the Kiamariga Police Station in Karatina, Nyeri County, Windsor House Auctioneers announced it will sell unclaimed motorcycles and household goods. The motorcycles include brands such as Shinery, Boxer, Tiger, Simba, Haojin, Dayun, Ranger, and Captain. Other items listed for auction include a gas cylinder, 32-inch TV, water pump, mattress, subwoofers, and a bicycle.
In Machakos County, the auctioneer will also dispose of unclaimed motorcycles from the Syokimau and Mlolongo Police Stations. The brands listed include TVS, Bajaj, Jinchen, Skygo, and Ranger, alongside a Nissan car and a bicycle.
The Mwingi Police Station in Kitui County has over 15 motorcycles, two vehicle engines, scrap metals, and a burnt vehicle shell awaiting auction. The listed vehicles include a Mazda Demio and Subaru Impreza, while motorcycle brands range from TVS and Honda to Safari and Captain.
Meanwhile, Ikimwanya Auctioneers will auction vehicles and motorcycles from the Khayega Police Station in Kakamega County, with brands such as TVS, Boxer, Honda, and Kingbird.
In Kilifi County, Status Auctioneers will sell motorcycles and a Toyota Corolla from the Kaloleni Police Station within 60 days.
Additionally, Fancy Friends Auctioneers will auction high-end vehicles such as Rav4, Hilux, Nissan Skyline, Mercedes, and Ford at Jamii Autocare, while Moryx Auto will dispose of a Toyota Land Cruiser.
Lastly, Garaa Investment Auctioneers will sell assorted household items and liquor stock currently held at Auto Gallery Yard along Waiyaki Way through public auction or private treaty.
