Kasmuel McOure, a young ODM leader, is in Brussels, Belgium, representing the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) at the European Parliament and other key institutions. The meetings run from September 15 to September 19, 2025. They focus on global cooperation, partnerships, and dialogue on pressing issues.
McOure thanked the European Union in Kenya and ODM leader H.E. Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga for the opportunity. He said, “I have just arrived in Brussels to represent The ODM party at the European Parliament and other key institutions. This chance comes courtesy of the European Union in Kenya and H.E. Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, who always reminds us that excellence must be pursued relentlessly.”
He stressed that his visit is not just symbolic. “I look forward to engaging with world leaders, learning best practices, and bringing these insights back home to strengthen our mighty party,” McOure added.
McOure rose to prominence as a Gen Z activist during protests against the controversial Finance Bill, 2024. In November 2024, he joined ODM and has since worked to revive youth and student leagues across Kenya. He calls on young people to join the party and help shape Kenya’s future.
“This is a chance to learn from global institutions, empower youth, and drive innovation in public policy. ODM remains committed to a country where everyone can live with dignity,” he said.
The Brussels sessions are part of ODM’s broader strategy to build international networks, improve governance, and align with global standards. Key topics include youth empowerment, democratic development, and public policy innovation areas central to ODM’s reform agenda.
