Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has boldly declared that Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki is destined to become Kenya’s future president. Speaking during a panel discussion on K24 TV, Ruku praised Kindiki for his commitment, diligence, and visionary leadership, especially in spearheading economic empowerment initiatives across the country.
“The Deputy President, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, is a man who will one day be the president of the Republic of Kenya. He is extremely diligent and committed to the development of this nation,” Ruku said.
The Public Service CS lauded Kindiki’s efforts in leading economic empowerment forums, a flagship initiative of the Kenya Kwanza administration aimed at uplifting vulnerable Kenyans through financial support and community-driven programs. Ruku emphasized that Kindiki’s elevation to the Deputy President’s role despite hailing from a minority community demonstrates his resilience and strong national appeal.
“For him to have come from a small community to be the DP of Kenya, that tells you the spirit Prof. Kindiki carries,” Ruku added.
Ruku also defended the Deputy President against critics questioning the source of funds used in the empowerment forums. He dismissed the allegations as uninformed and uncreative, arguing that the critics lacked innovative thinking.
“When someone says the money used in these empowerment programs comes from unknown sources, it’s simply because they lack creativity and the ability to think outside the box, or even without the box,” Ruku said.
He particularly called out former Chief Justice David Maraga, who had previously questioned the legitimacy of the funds, suggesting they were proceeds of corruption. Ruku maintained that the empowerment programs were credible and a testament to Kenya Kwanza’s commitment to uplifting livelihoods.
Kindiki has recently received praise from leaders in the Rift Valley and other Kenya Kwanza strongholds, who commended his leadership in driving economic empowerment, youth initiatives, and the affordable housing agenda. In contrast, the same leaders criticized Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for allegedly lacking a substantive development plan and engaging in divisive politics.
As political dynamics evolve, Kindiki appears to be positioning himself as a key figure in Kenya’s future leadership landscape.
