President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that his administration has stabilised the economy and is now focused on delivering development in every part of the country.
Speaking on Sunday at the Eastern Kenya Integrated College in Mitaboni, Machakos County, the President attended a church service before laying the foundation stone for the institution’s new laboratories. He called on Kenyans to embrace unity and reject divisive politics, saying it is the only way to achieve equitable development.
Economy Back on Track
Ruto said his government inherited an economy at risk of collapsing but has since consolidated and stabilised it.
“We have managed to consolidate and stabilise our economy that was at the risk of collapsing. Now we are on the path to transforming every part of Kenya, including Ukambani, which for too long has suffered marginalisation due to politics,” he stated.
The Head of State stressed that his administration is committed to ensuring all regions benefit from programmes in healthcare, education, and affordable housing.
Equal Opportunities for All Kenyans
Ruto dismissed leaders opposing government projects, saying no part of the country should be left behind. He emphasised that Kenya must aim higher and move away from mediocrity.
“We have for far too long made peace with mediocrity and the average. We must now graduate and think about the great and the excellent, and that is where Kenya belongs,” he said.
The President also reassured Kenyans that his government serves everyone, regardless of political affiliation.
“The government I lead belongs to all Kenyans. I was elected as President of the Republic of Kenya, for those who voted for me and those who did not,” he noted.
A Call for Unity
Ruto urged Kenyans to remain united, saying unity will accelerate development across the nation. He pledged that his government will continue implementing projects in all regions without discrimination.
