President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that his government will surprise critics by transforming the country from a third-world nation to a first-world nation. Speaking in Samburu County on Sunday, November 9, 2025, during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Archer’s Post Affordable Housing Project, Ruto emphasized that his administration has the vision, plans, and resources to achieve this ambitious goal.
Addressing sceptics and opposition leaders, Ruto criticized those who dismiss his government’s development blueprint. “Wale watu hawana maono, hawana mpango, hawana sera. Ati wanasema Kenya haiwezi kutoka third world kuenda first world. Nyinyi hamkuamini chochote, lakini tutawashangaza, tutawashitua,” he declared, promising a transformation that would surprise even the harshest critics.
Ruto highlighted key government achievements in housing, healthcare, and infrastructure as evidence that previously deemed impossible projects are now within reach. “Si walisema haiwezekani mambo ya afya, ya hospitali na housing? Imewezekana! Haijawezekana?” he posed to the cheering crowd, stressing that success is possible with citizens’ support and God’s guidance.
The Archer’s Post Affordable Housing Project forms part of a broader national initiative to provide affordable homes, create jobs, and uplift ordinary Kenyans. The project is also expected to stimulate local industries by increasing demand for construction materials and encouraging innovation in building technology.
“Our housing agenda is not just about shelter; it’s about creating opportunities, jobs, and restoring dignity to Kenyan families,” Ruto said.
The President concluded by reiterating that Kenya’s transformation into a first-world nation will be driven by strategic planning, innovation, and discipline. “We have the plans, we have the vision, and we have the resources to do it. Those who doubt us will be shocked when they see Kenya rise to become a global model of growth and transformation,” he stated.
Ruto urged citizens to remain patient and united as his administration continues rolling out projects aimed at empowering the people and elevating Kenya to new heights.
