President William Ruto has congratulated the winners of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations, pledging unity and strong campaigns ahead of the November 27, 2025, by-elections.
The nominations, conducted from September 20, 2025, across multiple constituencies and wards, were described by Ruto as free, fair, and non-violent. He emphasized that the party’s foundation reflects UDA’s commitment to the people’s will.
“Congratulations to all the winners of the just-concluded United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations. We will unite and drive formidable campaigns that will deliver victory to our candidates in the November 27 by-elections,” Ruto said in a statement on X.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) confirmed that all by-elections will take place on November 27, 2025. The commission also noted that the gazettement for 16 ward by-elections was completed on August 8, alongside the appointment of Returning and Deputy Returning Officers.

UDA will also contest several ward elections, including Kariobangi North in Nairobi, Chewani in Tana River, Fafi in Garissa, and Metkei in Elgeyo Marakwet, among others. In Metkei Ward, Philip Kipkosgey Kiprutto emerged victorious with 2,117 votes, defeating four other contenders.
