Political activist and INJECT Party leader Kebaso Morara has been described as a rising force in Kenya’s political future by Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi. In a statement released on Monday, Atandi praised Morara’s honesty and realism, noting that these qualities will help him thrive in the country’s turbulent political environment.
Atandi also echoed Morara’s sentiments about Kenya’s ethnic-driven politics, agreeing that the so-called “Gen Z revolution” lacks tangible structure. He, however, urged Morara to seek mentorship from ODM leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, suggesting that political tutelage from a seasoned statesman like Raila could sharpen Morara’s leadership path.
“Mr Morara Kebaso is a realistic and honest young man who has a future in Kenya’s politics. I would like to have him quickly visit Baba, Raila Odinga, for some tutorial or mentorship. His views on the ‘ethnic’ Kenya are factual, and the so-called Gen Z revolution does not exist,” Atandi posted on X.
Morara has recently stirred debate by openly challenging Kenya’s dominant tribal-based political alliances. He has argued that success in elections is often determined by one’s ethnic affiliation or party region, rather than ideas or vision.
Since launching the INJECT Party, Morara has attempted to partner with opposition outfits but later distanced himself, accusing them of being self-serving and lacking a long-term plan for the country. He claims that the current opposition’s only goal is to remove President William Ruto from power, without offering concrete alternatives.
“Our vision must go beyond William Ruto,” Morara stated. “We must ask: What is our plan to combat corruption, address unemployment, and deliver justice to victims of police brutality?”
Calling on young Kenyans to reject tribalism and empty political rhetoric, Morara insists that the youth must lead a new, idea-driven revolution focused on accountability and tangible change.
As political observers continue to watch Kenya’s shifting landscape, Morara’s bold voice and Atandi’s endorsement signal that the youth may be carving out a new, more principled space in the country’s future leadership.
