The grisly incident occurred in the Majengo area on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Police officers who responded to the scene recovered a blood-stained sword believed to have been used in the attack, alongside a mobile phone. The Narok murder was one of several reported killings over the weekend. In Homa Bay County, a domestic dispute between two brothers ended in tragedy. The altercation, which took place at Omiro village in Ringa, was sparked by claims that one brother’s cows had destroyed the other’s maize crop. In the heat of the argument, the elder brother allegedly stabbed his younger sibling, John Ouko, in the chest and back with a kitchen knife, killing him instantly. The suspect later surrendered at Ringa Police Station and is expected to face murder charges in court.
Meanwhile, in Chesikaki village, Bungoma County, another life was lost following a confrontation at a local bar. Reports indicate that Patrick Wakwama died after being struck with a walking stick by a security guard during a heated exchange. The motive for the clash remains unclear, but police confirmed that the guard has been arrested and is being held on murder charges.
All three bodies from the separate incidents were transferred to local mortuaries for autopsies as investigations continue. Authorities have urged members of the public to resolve disputes amicably and report any threats of violence to law enforcement before matters escalate into deadly confrontations.
The spate of killings highlights the alarming rise in violent crime across different counties, prompting calls for community vigilance, conflict resolution initiatives, and stronger police presence to deter such tragedies in the future.
