According to initial accounts, the elderly man had arrived home on the evening of Thursday, July 31, around 5 pm. When he failed to return by 10 pm, the family grew anxious and began searching the neighborhood.
Their worst fears were confirmed when they discovered his body lying on a driveway near their home. The body showed signs of having been partially burnt, suggesting a possible attempt to destroy evidence. The area was quickly secured by law enforcement officers, and the body was transferred to a nearby mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted.
Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the heinous act. So far, no arrests have been made, but authorities have assured the public that a full probe is underway.
