A man has been arrested in Embu East following a break-in at the Fidenza School of Nursing in Kyeni, where various items were stolen from the students’ canteen. The incident occurred during the night of July 14, 2025, when intruders gained access to the school compound and vandalised the canteen, making away with assorted items, including an electric water pump.
Officers from Runyenjes Police Station responded promptly after receiving the report. They launched an investigation and, with the help of local residents and intelligence-led efforts, successfully tracked down one suspect linked to the incident. Upon his arrest, the man led the officers to his home, where all the stolen goods were recovered.
The suspect was taken into custody at Runyenjes Police Station, where further legal action is expected to follow. Authorities praised the collaboration between the community and the police, stating that the swift recovery of the stolen property underscored the importance of timely reporting and cooperation.

Similarly, in Kisumu County, law enforcement officers on July 13 recovered various items suspected to have been stolen in May from Kombe Kogulo Comprehensive School. The recovered property included laboratory equipment, school utensils, desktop computers, and another electric water pump, adding to the growing list of successful recoveries in recent weeks.
