Police in Narok County are investigating the mysterious death of a 15-year-old girl whose body was discovered in a sugarcane plantation in Angata Barrakoi on October 29, 2025.
According to police reports, the girl’s body, still in school uniform, was found lying in a pool of blood with visible injuries to the neck. Authorities suspect foul play but have yet to establish the motive behind the killing.
The body was taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy as detectives pursue leads to identify and apprehend those responsible. Police confirmed that no arrests had been made by press time but assured the public that investigations are ongoing.
The tragic discovery has left the local community in shock, with residents calling for swift justice for the young victim.
In a separate incident in Namanjala, Trans Nzoia County, a 57-year-old man identified as Paul Muliro Karera was found dead in a house on October 28. Police reports indicate that Karera may have had a disagreement with his son before entering the son’s house. Investigators believe he may have been killed there, and the suspect allegedly fled after the incident. The body was moved to the mortuary for an autopsy as investigations continue.
Elsewhere in Konyango, Homa Bay County, police are probing the killing of Joseph Oyoo Ondiek, 62, who reportedly died after being attacked by a neighbour during a dispute over a grazing field.
In Bungoma County, officers are investigating the death of Naomi Sangara, 29, who was found dead in her house with visible injuries. Western Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud confirmed that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing and will face murder charges.
