Detectives in Kisumu County have launched investigations into the gruesome murder of a tractor driver whose dismembered body was discovered in separate locations within Koru area.

According to police reports, a group of boda boda riders stumbled upon a suspicious package along the Achego–Muhoroni Road near the Kona Mbaya area. Upon inspection, they were shocked to find a human head wrapped inside a paper bag. The discovery prompted them to alert local authorities immediately.
A subsequent search by police led to the recovery of the victim’s torso a short distance from his residence. Preliminary examinations indicated that Amemo had suffered severe physical injuries prior to his death, suggesting a brutal attack.
The remains were moved to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination as investigations continue. Police say they have yet to determine the motive behind the killing but suspect it may have been intended to send a message. The deceased hailed from Homa Bay County.
Meanwhile, in Bungoma County, police are investigating a separate incident in which a woman was found murdered and her body dumped by the roadside in Kimilili. Reports indicate the woman had visible injuries on her neck and face, suggesting she was assaulted before being killed. Two suspects were rescued from an angry mob that attempted to lynch them following the discovery. They are currently assisting police with investigations.
In another case in Kapkerer, Nandi County, a man believed to be in his 30s was beaten to death by members of the public after being accused of stealing bananas from a nearby farm. Authorities later condemned the act, urging residents to report suspects to police instead of taking the law into their own hands.
