Police recovered three bags of fertilizer, a solar battery, and an inverter just a few meters from the scene. It was established that Masinde was living alone at the time of his death. In Embu County, another tragic death was reported when a 65-year-old man, Joseph Nyaga, was found dead by suicide. His body was discovered hanging from a macadamia tree in Kianjokoma area.
