A 31-year-old man was brutally murdered and his body dumped along a roadside in Bahati, Nakuru County. The incident, which has left residents in shock, occurred near Bahati Level Four Hospital.
The victim, identified as Stephen Gitau Ng’ang’a, was discovered lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts to the head and injuries to the chest. Authorities confirmed that the motive behind the killing has not yet been established. His body was later moved to a local mortuary, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

In a separate incident in Bumula, Busia County, an 83-year-old man lost his life after being assaulted on the roadside. The victim, identified as Albert Sikhila, was attacked during what was initially perceived as a joking altercation. However, the assault turned fatal, and the elderly man later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in hospital. His body was taken to the mortuary for post-mortem examination as police intensified the hunt for the suspect behind the killing.
Meanwhile, in Baringo County, a 25-year-old man surrendered to the police after being on the run for a week. The suspect, identified as Jackson Kimuge, is linked to a murder incident that occurred in Kapkirwok Village, Ketemwo Sublocation. Following his surrender at Marigat Police Station, he was arraigned in court, where police were granted 14 days to hold him as investigations continue.
Authorities have raised concern over the increasing number of murder cases in the region. Many of the killings have been connected to love triangles, family feuds, and land disputes. Some cases have been resolved and are currently in court, while others remain under investigation.
